Why we started this experiment — dogfooding
Dogfooding means "using your own product to solve the problem it was built for." Alleo helps small businesses get discovered in AI search. If we did not even know whether our own content gets cited by AI, we would have no right to tell customers "just do it this way."
So we decided to create content ourselves, track it ourselves, and publish the results openly. Build in public — we do not hide the experiment. We share what works and what does not.
What is alleo.wiki — building 159 entries
alleo.wiki is a Korean-language wiki focused on AEO (AI search optimization). It currently has 159 entries, 44 pillars (core topic clusters), and 14 namespaces. In simple terms, it is like an encyclopedia that organizes AI search optimization in Korean as systematically as possible.
We built it this far because AI models read well-structured information more easily. We wanted to test the hypothesis that 159 interconnected entries send a much stronger signal than a single blog post.
AI citation tracking system — how we automated it
Manually asking ChatGPT the same questions every time has limits. So we built an automation system on GitHub Actions — a tool that runs specific jobs automatically whenever code is pushed.
Here is how it works. On a fixed schedule, we send relevant questions to AI models and automatically check whether our content is mentioned or referenced in the responses. Results are logged so we can track changes over time. True to our lazy-automation spirit, we set it up once and let it run on its own.
