Search is changing
People no longer read all ten blue links when they search. ChatGPT, Naver AI Briefing, and Google AI answers give the answer directly and show a few recommended sources beside it. People look at only those two or three.
In other words, whether AI picks your site as a recommended source is becoming what drives traffic. Getting cited in an AI answer matters more than ranking on page one.
But for small companies, this opens a new window
Large companies already spend heavily on expensive SEO consulting. But honestly, as a developer, I often find those expensive consulting deliverables unsatisfying. Analysis is something AI can do now, yet the price has not changed.
Small companies cannot afford that. So every time a new technology arrives, the same pattern repeats: big companies adopt fast, small companies lose one or two years not knowing where to start, and by the time they try to catch up, it is already late.
AI search is different. Remember early SEO, when a few good blog posts could land you on page one? The people who claimed those spots built ten years of site authority afterward. AI search is at that exact moment right now. Small companies can get in if they hold to just two principles.
Write in a way AI can understand
Answer the question in the opening, break content into short paragraphs, and make subheadings summarize each section.
Narrow your niche
Own a narrow, deep area large companies cannot cover, and fill it with genuine expertise.
This is not about fighting huge companies head-on. It is about building authority quickly in the areas they cannot cover.
I started building Alleo because I believe small business owners should be able to do this easily too.
That is why we built Alleo
Alleo does three things.
Publish a blog structured for AI recommendations.
Turn your real experience into content through interviews. Content AI cites is ultimately something only you can write — and that lives in your head.
Automatically distribute what you create to social media.
But when the person who built the tool says "it works," that does not mean much. The real question is this:
"So does this actually work?"
How a 36-year truck sales veteran's site took off
Sales Director Jang Ki-bong is a veteran who has sold trucks at Volvo Trucks Korea for 36 years. He wanted to bring more than 30 years of expertise online, and we built jangkibong.com for him. The approach was simple: AI-friendly writing and a narrow focus on Volvo trucks. Not a single won was spent on ads.

Naver AI Briefing: cited in the 'Volvo truck dealer recommendation' answer

Google exposure for "Volvo tractor purchase consultation"
This happened two weeks after launch
Similar results appear for most searches related to "buying a Volvo truck" and "consultation."
You can verify this yourself right now
Search on Naver or Google for "Volvo tractor consultation" or "Volvo tractor purchase consultation". (AI answers may vary depending on when they are generated.)
What this means
With zero ad spend, a solo sales professional's site stood beside massive official channels. It means that with genuine expertise in your field, you can earn an AI recommendation without expensive consulting.
I hope Alleo becomes a tool that lets business owners in Korea run high-efficiency marketing easily. That is the entire reason I built it.
